Wharton Residential Land Use Regulation Index (WRLURI)
The data used in our paper “A New Measure of the Local Regulatory Environment
for Housing Markets: The Wharton Residential Land Use Regulatory Index”
(forthcoming in Urban Studies) can be downloaded via the link below. The data
set is in Stata format (version 9). A full description of the data is available
in our paper (link provided), with detail on each variable and subindex provided
in the appendix.
We intend to update the data periodically (probably every six months), with
information on additional cities and to correct any errors that are reported to
us. The suffix to the data set name will change with each iteration of the data.
Note: The current version is WHARTON LAND REGULATION DATA_1_24_2008.
Researchers and others using the data in published work should cite our paper as
the source. The suggested citation is as follows:
