Grace W. Bucchianeri is an Assistant Professor of Real Estate at the Wharton School. Grace’s research centers on housing market behaviors, with current projects focusing on the relationship between housing consumption and well-being. In particular, Grace is examining the role of housing/neighborhood quality, homeownership and relative housing consumption in determining life satisfaction. Grace has written on several topics including the overreaction of the housing market to the 2003 SARS epidemic, the role of media and politics in speculative housing bubbles and the effects of social capital and “green-city” strategy on housing prices. Aside from her research and teaching, Grace is also the Faculty Advisor to the Undergraduate Real Estate Club and a Faculty Brother of the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Grace received a BSc and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Economics from Princeton University.
